Many ballpoint pens contain a royal blue ink. The drawings you see were once entirely blue. Over time, this has changed: in some works the blue has disappeared completely, in others only faint traces remain. This transformation is the result of deliberate exposure to sunlight, which I subject the drawings to every day.
