Glashard - Zine set
This box edition contains 4 publications about the Glashard exhibition in De Glasfabriek Schiedam. In the first magazine you get to know all the participating artists. Each of them has provided an image of their work. In the second zine, the Glashard exhibition itself is featured. Beautifully captured by Aad Hoogendoorn. Followed by zines documenting the Artist in resident studio and the Open Call factory hall.
Glashard is a post-graffiti exhibition by Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. Artists with roots in graffiti culture are given a unique platform on the grounds of De Glasfabriek, the former glass factory in Schiedam. Over 20 years ago, these artists would go out at night with a spray can, leaving their work behind on walls, doors and other places on the frayed edges of the city. Their practice developed as visual artists, as shown in this exhibition curated by design duo Opperclaes, commissioned by the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam. Around 30 national and international makers exhibit in various warehouse spaces to produce their work on site.
