ESSU - Nirvana

ESSU is a Tokyo-based artist, particularly known for his ornately illustrated faces. Piercing faces, surrounded by graceful frills and traditional Japanese lettering. All drenched in a heavy dose of street culture (smells like teenspirrit). When we came across his work, it immediately aroused our curiosity. Where do those faces come from? And what do they mean?
